Recipes

Hey everyone...
I have started another page on the Lacey "J" Ranch blog that has recipes. Have a look, give them a try or post some of your own favorite recipes for others to try. To get there, just click the "Recipe" heading at the top of the home page (right above the picture).
CSA week of July 12 - 16:
  • Baby bok choy
  • Cucumber
  • Green onions
  • radishes
  • Red Russian Kale
  • Young Hungarian Wax peppers (note: because they are young they will vary in heat/spicy but they should not be super hot. If you would like them even more mild, remove the seeds and/or cook them.)
  • Encore Salad mix - (lettuce varieties include: Blackhawk, Firecracker, Red Saladbowl, Tango, Parris Island, Deer Tongue, and Rouge D’Hiver.)
  • Eggs - ( Another local farmer is interested in partnering with Lacey "J" Ranch CSA, so this week you will receive fresh eggs. They are free-range and hormone free! If you like the eggs, you can add them to your CSA in future weeks for an additional cost.)

Hooray for sunshine! Yesterday's storm forced us to shut down the Monticello Farmers Market early. On the way home I drove through a hail storm in Elk River that turned the ground white and shredded tree leaves. Thankfully it missed both our farms.
